What is the benefit of booking with a Special Event Permit?
A Special Event Permit is required for larger and more structured beach events, including:
- Groups of 29+ guests
- All weddings (regardless of size)
- Events with catered food
- Any setup with artificial lighting
The biggest advantage is early reservation access. With a Special Event Permit, we can secure your beach location well in advance, instead of waiting until the standard 2-week booking window required for basic bonfire permits.
Additionally, under the new county ordinance, Special Event Permits allow your bonfire to start earlier in the day—giving you the opportunity to fully enjoy your setup and catch the sunset during your experience.
Which 30A beach access points do you service?
We service many of the most popular beach access locations along 30A, including:
- Miramar Beach
- Ft. Panic
- Dune Allen Beach
- Blue Mountain Beach
- Ed Walline Beach Access
- Santa Clara Beach Access
- Inlet Beach
We also accommodate additional locations, including private residences (with approval).

What locations do you service?
We proudly service the entire Beaches of South Walton County, including 30A, Miramar Beach, and surrounding areas.
We also offer setups at private residences (with approval) and are happy to discuss the best options based on your location.
For the Destin area (Okaloosa County), we currently provide non-fire experiences, such as beach picnics and styled setups.
Interested in a different location? We’re always open to travel when possible—just reach out and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.
Can we extend our bonfire rental during the event?
Yes, extensions may be available depending on scheduling and beach regulations.

Can we choose a different beach location if it’s not listed on your website?
Yes, we can accommodate custom locations upon request.
Based on the address you provide, we’ll recommend the closest and most scenic beach access, while also considering important factors like parking availability and restroom access to ensure the best overall experience.

What happens if it rains on the day of our bonfire?
We do our best to accommodate inclement weather as fairly and reasonably as possible while following Walton County regulations.
- Deposits and date reservations are non-refundable
- You are allowed one complimentary time adjustment (up to 1 hour) on the day of your event to help avoid weather conditions
- You may choose to reschedule your event; however, once your SWFD bonfire permit has been purchased, a $200 re-permit fee will apply
- SWFD permits are non-refundable
- The remaining balance is eligible for a full refund with at least 24 hours’ notice of cancellation
- Once your event has been set up on the beach, refunds are no longer available

Can I bring my own food and beverages?
Yes, you’re welcome to bring your own food and beverages, as long as you comply with Walton County Beach Code regulations:
- No glass containers are allowed on any Walton County beach access
- All items must be in non-glass containers
Please note, we are not responsible for any fines issued by Code Enforcement.
If you plan to have your food catered, all vendors must have a valid Walton County vending permit.
Can you provide food and beverages?
Yes, we’re happy to assist with food and beverage options for your beach setup.
When you reach out, we can provide options such as coolers stocked with water and refreshments, as well as curated food add-ons to enhance your experience.
Please let us know in advance if you have any food allergies or dietary preferences, so we can accommodate your needs.
How early should we arrive for our scheduled bonfire?
We recommend arriving 10–15 minutes early so you can get settled and fully enjoy your experience from the start. Your beach setup will be ready and waiting for you upon arrival.
Do we need a permit to have a beach bonfire?
Yes, a permit is required—but you don’t need to worry about it when you book with us. We handle all Walton County permits, ensuring your bonfire is fully compliant so you can relax and enjoy the experience.
